HAITI EARTHQUAKE 2021
UPDATE
Dear Friends,
On Saturday August 14,2021 the beautiful island of Haiti again was devastated by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake impacting the southern region of Haiti specifically the communities of Les Cayes and Jeremie along with the surrounding communities. Thus far this earthquake has claimed 1,300 plus lives and over 2800 injured from what we know so far. The numbers continue to rise, and the damage is catastrophic as the recovery efforts continue. It’s been approximately 11 years since the last devastating earthquake that hit Haiti and the island has been plagued by various turmoil since. Haiti needs disaster relief and assistance now and we must act fast.
We are currently raising funds to help with the current relief efforts and to support our teams of medical personnel we currently have on the ground.
We are only soliciting medical supplies and medicine to support this endeavor. Our team will include doctors, surgeons, nurses, and support staff to ensure we meet the needs. Please see the attached document for a list of medical supplies needed.
We thank you in advance for your time and attention during this crucial time in Haiti.
NJ 4Haiti was created because of the 2010 Haiti earthquake and we have continued to provide aid and give the families in Haiti relief and hope through medical missions and support.
